Michelle Wooddell – Founder & Principal

With more than 20 years of marketing, management and fundraising experience in Detroit’s nonprofit sector, she founded Cobblestone Solutions, LLC in 2013. She is a Certified Fundraising Executive and received a PhD in Nonprofit Management. She serves on the faculty at Grand Valley State University where her research includes the intersection of the public, private and nonprofit sectors and fundraising efficacy. In her spare time, she manages to get in a midday game of doubles tennis, loves dogs and recently completed the DisneyWorld Parkology Challenge.


Heather Carmona – Managing Director

Heather brings more than 25 years’ experience working and serving in various nonprofit sectors including economic and community development, education, and human services. She’s worked for a social-impact technology company, and held executive positions with two area nonprofits as Chief Administrative Officer and Executive Director and is keen at adapting and responding to client needs. A Certified Health Coach (CHC) she volunteers with several organizations, loves to read nonfiction and is training for her first open water swim event.


Cara Freitag – Program Manager, Nonprofit Services

Cara brings strong marketing and event management experience to the Nonprofit Spot team. Working with a number of Detroit’s non-profits, she has managed fundraisers, galas and events of all sizes. Cara’s keen attention to detail and ability to multitask makes for a great program manager! Cara loves to travel and is always on the move with her two sports enthusiast children!
